Life is too short to make a small impact. Go big and do good.
The Details:
Through a competitive, four-month program, the CfA Accelerator will “turbo-charge” select civic startups by providing them a springboard to amplify market awareness of their product, additional funding (a $25K seed grant), business mentoring specific to the Gov 2.0 space, and introductions to a broad network of civic leaders and potential investors.
Every month, accepted teams will attend week-long “retreats” in SF packed with trainings, talks, and networking events; full time relocation is not required.
The program is being led by serial entrepreneur, Ron Bouganim, with the support of a strong advisory board featuring Caterina Fake, Peter Schwartz, Ron Conway, and Aneesh Chopra, as well as an all-star set of industry, civic, and venture capital mentors, including Jeff Clavier, Bryce Roberts, and Ted Rheingold, Marci Harris, and Ryan and Mike Alfred.
The program will start in August 2012.
